Facial Emotion Perception in Young Female Students with Single Panic Attacks

چکیده
The study aimed to examine the behavioral and neural correlates of facial emotion recognition in a non-clinical group 13 young female students with single Panic Attacks (PA) compared 14 matched healthy controls. Subjects were asked recognize angry, fearful, happy, disgusted, sad surprised faces, reaction time Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) recorded. Significant between-group differences not found, but PA subjects reacted more slowly angry fearful expressions. More distinct observed EPRs: demonstrated increased amplitudes P100 components occipital area. amplitude component for threat-related faces suggests that this type high-arousal negative emotions is particularly meaningful individuals.

Categorical Perception in Facial Emotion Classification
We present an automated emotion recognition system that is capable of identifying six basic emotions (happy, surprise, sad, angry, fear, disgust) in novel face images. An ensemble of simple feed-forward neural networks are used to rate each of the images. The outputs of these networks are then combined to generate a score for each emotion. The networks were trained on a database of face images ...

The aim of the study was the evaluation of facial emotion perception and its relation to the psychotic symptoms in schizophrenia patients. متن کاملColour Perception on Facial Expression towards Emotion
This study is to investigate human perceptions on pairing of facial expressions of emotion with colours. A group of 27 subjects consisting mainly of younger and Malaysian had participated in this study. For each of the seven faces, which express the basic emotions neutral, happiness, surprise, anger, disgust, fear and sadness, a single colour is chosen from the eight basic colours for the “matc...
متن کاملVisual perception of facial expressions of emotion.
Facial expressions of emotion are produced by contracting and relaxing the facial muscles in our face. I hypothesize that the human visual system solves the inverse problem of production, that is, to interpret emotion, the visual system attempts to identify the underlying muscle activations. I show converging computational, behavioral and imaging evidence in favor of this hypothesis. I detail t...
